Our Process

We know it’s not easy to select the right school for your child. Our admission process makes it easier! The process begins with your visit to our school. Following your tour, if you decide to enroll your child, you’ll complete an application.

Complete the online application and submit the application fee of $75. 

Upon receipt of the application and $75 fee, teacher recommendation(s) and school transcript, we will contact you to schedule a formal visit. Your child will visit classes and participate in school activities. Additionally, academic and cognitive ability assessments will be administered to all applicants. Students applying for admission during the summer will meet with a teacher or the Head of School. 

If applicable, have your child’s academic records forwarded to AHS by fax (413-781-4806) or email (academy@academyhill.org). Incoming Pre-K students are not required to submit academic records.

Once the above steps have been completed, the Head of School will notify you of acceptance.

+ Financial Aid

Financial aid is a core part of our mission at Academy Hill. In fact, 41% of Academy Hill K-8 families receive some amount of financial assistance. *Financial aid is not available for our PreK program. To assist us in evaluating your eligibility for financial aid, Academy Hill School utilizes a confidential financial assistance application processing service called FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition). By providing detailed information through FAST, we can calculate an estimated amount of contribution that your family may be able to make towards your student’s educational expenses. Financial aid is limited up to 50% of tuition based on need.

For new K-8 students the financial aid process runs concurrently to the admission process and is only issued to students who have been accepted for admission. Therefore, we kindly request that you begin the admission process for your child first as a financial aid award determination cannot be offered prior to an offer of admission.

Do you offer financial aid?

Yes. Academy Hill contracts with a third party vendor to assist us in determining need.

When is the application deadline?

Academy Hill will consider all applications for the upcoming school year that are received by February 1. We also review applications received after the deadline on a rolling basis.

When can I visit campus?

+ Tuition

There is a one-time registration fee of $175 for all newly enrolled students in grades K-8. This registration fee and a 10% deposit must be paid at the time of enrollment.

There is a 5% discount for each child after the first.
